With more than 20 years of clinical and surgical expertise, Dr. Heather Kaufman, DPM, FACFAS, is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a board-certified foot surgeon.

After several years of group practice in Colorado, Dr. Kaufman moved to Alaska and purchased Anchorage Foot & Ankle Clinic in 2014. She has since built her practice around providing high-quality, individualized care. Though she holds a special interest in wound care and diabetic limb salvage, her practice includes all aspects of both surgical and non-surgical management of foot, ankle and lower leg pathology.

Dr. Kaufman is known for her technical expertise, kind, compassionate care, and commitment to patient outcomes. She regularly travels around Alaska to deliver foot and ankle care – including surgical care - to residents in rural communities who may not be able to easily travel to Anchorage. As the Fit Feet Director for Special Olympics Alaska, she provides foot and ankle care for Special Olympics Alaska athletes.
